- 1 lb chicken breasts, diced or cubed
- 2 tsp sesame oil
- ½ cup Japanese soy sauce
- ¼ cup rice vinegar
- ¼ cup sake
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, crushed
- 1 garlic clove, crushed
- sesame seeds, for garnish
- Add sesame oil to skillet over high heat. Pat dry diced chicken with paper towels. Add chicken to skillet and brown on all sides. Takes a few minutes depending on how you diced it. Once browned, remove the chicken and set aside.
- Add soy sauce, rice vinegar, sake, sugar, honey, ginger, garlic (all except sesame seeds) to skillet and stir well. Let it come to a boil for 2 minutes before adding chicken and any resting juices back in. Cook for around 5 minutes to coat the chicken pieces and reduce the sauce to a sticky glaze. The chicken should be thoroughly cooked through.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and serve over white rice. Enjoy!
